5 Tips for Throwing a Memorable Child’s Birthday Party

There is absolutely no way you can forget your child’s birthday; precisely because they will not let you. Chances are your child will remind you every day a month to the actual day. But how do you make it special? How do you throw them a party they will not forget in a hurry? Here are a few tips.

1. Involve Your Child in the Plans

Children can be demanding. To meet their expectations and help them retain their bragging rights among their peers, the party has to be a blast. There are many ways you can hold a fun-filled birthday party for your child. However, what may be fun to you may be agonizing boredom for your kid. So, let him or her guide you on what they want for their birthday.

2. Make It Fun with Games

Having fun games and activities during your kid’s birthday will definitely make it memorable. There are lot special events party rentals to choose from. These include party rental games/activities such as fortress slides, hard rock climbing wall, 4D twister, human foosball, monster foosball, a black photo booth, money machine, air graffiti wall, and many others.

3. Throwing a Birthday Party for a Toddler

A first birthday party for a toddler is mainly targeted at adult family members and their kids. Besides respecting your baby’s eating and napping habits, your guests are entitled to a bit of fun. Make sure you have a separate space for kids and adults. You should also invite other kids in the neighbourhood as long as they are not less than two years old. To make sure that the kids, and the adults, don’t get cranky, consider including a few games and fun activities. An adult should be on hand to watch the kids as they play.

4. Throw a Themed Party

If your child is anywhere between preschool and fourth grade, a themed birthday party has exciting possibilities. Besides highlighting what your child likes, a themed party is a quintessential surprise present for your child. However, while surprises are good, you need to be certain of the kind of theme your child will be over-the-moon for. The theme of the party should always be age-specific. The good news is that you can rent age-specific themed games and activities such as a football sports cage, a junior sports cage, a butterfly safari, among many others. Always remember that the younger the kids, the more games and fun activities they will demand.

5. Birthday Parties for Older Kids

As kids get older, they identify more and more with adult fun. They start demanding for dance parties and other age-appropriate get-togethers. It is however important that you maintain a certain level of control on the kind of activities and the music they intend to play. While they may be exhibiting grown-up traits, they are still kids. However, let them make decisions on what they want. Only step in when you feel they have overstepped their limit. Make yourself available for advice while at the same timing giving them some level of controlled freedom. They are still not old enough to be left to their own devices.

Irrespective of the age of your child, there are fun activities and games that you can rent to make their birthday an unforgettable one. While the toddlers and those below the 4th grade depend exclusively on you for a perfect birthday party, you should allow older kids a certain level of freedom to determine the kind of ‘adult’ birthday they want. However, always remember that they are still kids and therefore need to be chaperoned as they can easily get out of control. The most important thing to remember is that your child and their friends get to enjoy themselves.
